MANAGERIAL TRAINING NEEDS AND GENDER WISE DIFFERENCE AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL HEAD TEACHERS IN BANNU DIVISION

ABSRACT

The study focused on the identification of managerial training needs and gender wise differences among secondary schools’ head teachers in Bannu Division. The objectives of this study were: To recognize the needs of managerial trainings required for secondary school’s head, specifically for Bannu division and to distinguish between the need of managerial trainings for the both the genders serving as a secondary schools’ head teachers for Bannu division, precisely. The target population of the study was consisting of all the heads of secondary schools in Bannu Division. A self-developed questionnaire was used as research instrument for data collection purpose from the sample population. For statistical instrument (SPSS) version 24 was utilized using descriptive statistics. Mean, standard-deviation and t-test was used for data analysis. Overall heads of Secondary Schools fall in the range of Very Need of Training in management areas, it was concluded that there was significant difference between male and female managerial training need in managerial task except in School Facilities- Management and Student Management. It was recommended that after the promotion of secondary school head teacher in-service management trainings may be provided in different managerial areas
